Lese have released Teuri a multimode parallel distortion plugin.
The plugin allows for multiple distortion types in a cell type arrangement the can be interpolated via an X-Y control.
There an extensive pre processing section that features biasing based on frequency, bpm, midi note etc.
There is a pre filter section that allows you to focus on the certain frequency ranges. The filter boost is removed from the direct sound but the harmonics generated are retained.
There is also a resonator section that has two modes. A single mode where the frequency can be determined and a cascade mode with multiple filters in series which can be spread out to give constructive and destructive interference.
There are multiple distortion types on offer for each cell adn most have their own unique controls. As well as typical distortion types there are ring modulators and frequency shifters.
The whole thing is rounded off with a modulation section that is found in many lese plugins. These can be used to modulate most parameters.
This is very much in sound design territory as opposed to your typical distortion duties.
It's a brilliant concept and really well implemented.
Here's Databroth putting it through its paces

Oh man. I love to see guys like this push the audio envelope. Don't need it, but as with all quality experimental stuff I very much want it. Aaargh
