bitwig 6 not able to load saved plugins

Hello, haven't posted in years but here goes

After upgrading to Bitwig 6, external vsts are unable to load in saved projects. If I open up a new project, I can use any vst, no problem. But when I save that same project and try to open a vst, I get the error message "could not load initial plug in state" etc.

I feel like I've tried 20 different things at this point. Bitwig support has been almost completely unhelfpul.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you updated from 5? Maybe remove Bitwig completely and all of its folders. And reinstall cleaned.

Corrupt template from version 5 maybe?
