Scripting- how do I bring up a popup browser?

I've been writing my own Bitwig script for the Maschine Jam because the default script browse function doesn't work. I'm guessing that it's just outdated so won't work with BW6. Everything else works.

What I want to do is press the Browse button, bring up a popup browser, use the knob to scroll through the options and use the knob button to commit.

There's a PopupBrowser interface in com.extension.controller.api, but I don't know how to use it.
