Hey folks,
quick one for the Bitwig crowd here: I've just pushed version 1.2.0 of my Euclidean Weaver controller script and put a walkthrough video online. The big news in this update is Melody Mode, so the script can now do harmonic stuff on top of the usual drum pattern work.
Short version of what it is: you set up to 8 Euclidean layers (N steps, K pulses, rotation, the usual Bjorklund setup), hit Generate, and the script writes real MIDI notes straight into your selected clip. No real-time processing, no MIDI effect in the chain, just plain editable notes you can tweak afterwards. In Drum Mode each layer gets a pitch for your drum rack, in the new Melody Mode each layer automatically pulls a degree from one of 12 scales so the whole thing harmonises by itself. Polymeter tiling with different step lengths per layer is where it gets interesting for me personally, especially with prime numbers like 5, 7, 11.
It's on my Patreon (patreon.com/gianabrotherz) https://www.patreon.com/posts/euclidean ... -154840877 along with the other scripts. Happy to answer questions, take feature requests or hear what you'd change. Feedback from this forum has shaped basically every version so far, so keep it coming.
Cheers,
Frank
