I predict a huge outpouring of AI Slop this time around....

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

AI generated stuff should be clearly marked. That should be part of the rules.... Just my 0,02

It will always depend on the head prompting the machine. Let's see that...

True. But then that wouldn't be Vibe Coded AI Slop, that would be AI Assisted software development. The difference is that the first one has no coding skills and no ability to check the code.

BTW, here's an interesting and related article:

Vibe-coded plugins are giving me SynthEdit déjà vu

I already vibed up an entry. Just needs some testing and presets.

When will this forum get renamed to the correct year?

Labelling AI generated is hard since even veterans are using AI and it's a fuzzy line what is or isn't, but i think it would be really interesting to ask submitters how they used AI. I think it's so exciting that many more people will submit the plugin they've been dreaming of. I am eager to see what submissions there are this year, just think judging is going to be hard - wading through the slop!

yeh... i think that since Synthedit uses some kind of code on their project files it's not really difficult to create stuff with Synthedit using a trained AI model.

Could some of the mods/organizers clarify what the "design and test in private" rule entails?
More specifically: am I allowed to share WIP screenshots/videos during the development process, e.g. here, on open discord servers or on social media?

Personally I find it quite nice to see other devs work on their projects and see them come to completion or learn where they struggle. But it could be that this is not wanted to avoid creating bias in the rating period?

Not a mod but that's exactly what's been said previously. Keep your entry secret for the big reveal, no potential for hype building up for one particular plug etc. If you need testers then we were asked before to contact the organisers who would put you in contact with beta testers, still all in private.
