Hi everyone,
I built a small tool to solve a problem I ran into while working with the Roland D-50 plugin and the original hardware D-50.

The plugin can import SysEx, but it exports banks in .BIN format, which isn’t directly compatible with the real D-50.
So I made a standalone converter to turn plugin banks into hardware-ready SysEx files.

It supports batch conversion and a simple drag-and-drop workflow.

Here’s a quick video showing how it works:

One important note: the plugin includes additional PCM samples and reverb types, so not every patch will translate 1:1 to the hardware — but the tool does its best to handle those differences.
If anyone here is still using a real D-50, I’d be curious to hear your workflow — plugin, hardware, or hybrid?
