Hi everyone,
We wanted to share a quick overview of the current quietformat instrument lineup.
TOYKEY is a vintage toy keyboard instrument with layered character and Pitch MPE support.
MELTONE is a polyphonic analog synth with built-in GILLA ARP, designed to turn simple chords into more organic, moving patterns.
MELINO is a vintage keys instrument suite with warm, retro-inspired character in a flexible multi-instrument format.
All three are available as VST3 and AU for macOS and Windows.
They are currently included in our Spring Sale until May 14.

Founded in 2025 and an impressive catalog of a brand I never heard of. I wonder if there is actually any copyright on vibe coded plugins?
I must admit, I did not even listen to any of that…
I am not against using AI for creating such a catalog, but I would not shell out the asked (sale) price for it. I would rather vibe code my own tools and if I publish them be happy with some donations for my prompting skills…
In the end the effort to create such tools is much lower nowadays. That can be reflected in the asked prices…
In a way vibe coded plugins should be open sourced, as the models are trained on open source code…

Just to clarify, quietformat was founded in 2025, but I had already been working on these tools since 2021, so the catalog didn’t just appear overnight.Tj Shredder wrote: Fri May 01, 2026 6:47 am Founded in 2025 and an impressive catalog of a brand I never heard of. The plugins are not vibe-coded. The DSP, plugin structure, sound engine, and core behavior are developed directly through coding, testing, and a lot of listening.
I don’t use AI to replace the core development process. At most, I use it as a helper for things like UI layout ideas or quickly visualizing design directions.
Since you mentioned that you haven’t listened to the plugins, I think the fairest way to judge them is to actually try them. For me, the real value of a plugin is how it sounds, how it feels to use, and whether it helps in an actual music-making context.
That’s why all quietformat plugins have a fully featured 14-day trial, so anyone can try them properly before deciding whether the price feels right.
