Looking for a MIDI-triggerable ADSR envelope that can control a separate plugin parameter. Something similar to the modulators in NI Guitar Rig

Cableguys MidiShaper might be an option.

As onerob says, MIDIShaper can do this (if the plugin can be controlled by MIDI , and your host can route MIDI between plugins)

If you want it triggered by MIDI but directly controlling a parameter like host automation would (ie -not- MIDI control of the parameter) then you may not be in luck. Plugins cant access each other, as access to parameters is restricted to the host, and almost no hosts have the capability of 'linking' parameter changes in one plugn to that of another plugin. If your host cant do that, then generally you're talking metaplugins as the workaround for this, ie plugins which can host other plugins. I'd do this in Bidule, for example.

What DAW are you using? Knowing that might help establish options.

Thanks all! MIDIShaper and Gatekeeper look good, but would prefer something free if possible. I found GS DSP's MMM after some googling, and it seems close, but can't get its MIDI ADSR to accept CC input. It's looking for notes. Meanwhile, its MIDI Pedal modulator will, but it doesn't have ADSR, and it doesn't appear that one modulator can be routed to another.

I'm using Reaper at the moment, which does have a bunch of MIDI JS plugins, but nothing obviously for this task.

Might need to get them via Reapack.

Gatekeeper can get quite cheap - last sale was $19 in January. musicsoftwaredeals.com let you put alerts on products so you catch them on sale
