Just found myself installing some stuff from waves, err, I mean antarestech, using their download manager, as soon as the first download completed a terminal/cmd window appeared very shortly and blue (now black) screen and crash...

Next reboot, On install Bitdefender kicked in and locked up trying to give me a report on what went on...

Next reboot, went into Bitdefender and disabled Antivirus and Advanced Threat Defense for 15mins... Their software manager installed the software this time... Then back into Bitdefender and turned everything back on.

Hopefully that helps anyone else with similar problems...

This time however I wanted to keep the installer files, they don't have direct downloads on the website anymore, they supposedly do but older versions, or if they do I couldn't find it, so instead of contacting support and waiting 13.5 billion years for them to reply and to also bypass the pointless discussion about what settings I could change on my pc that never work, I did the following:

1. Go to Google AI Studio or chatgpt or GLM 5.1 or etc etc any decent LLM
2. create a folder called c:\autotune
3. Google python install, download it and install it (might require a reboot)
4. Prompt gemini or gpt with: create me a python script that polls the folder and any sub folders in C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Temp\autotune-central\installers for any files and checks that their file size has stopped increasing after 3 attempts every 0.3 seconds. Once it has make a copy of that file as quick as possible and places it into the folder that the python script is run from.
5. Go to folder c:\autotune and create file start.py and open it in notepad
6. Copy and paste the code Gemini or GPT spat at you into notepad and press save.
7. Open CMD and type in cd c:\autotune and press enter
8. type in python start.py
9. turn off your AV software
10. open auto tune central and uninstall everything, then re-install it
11. once re-install is done you should have your exe installer files for each of your products to keep on your local drive and you no longer need auto tune central or to mess with AV anymore, just make sure to authorize the software in their piece of crap software first though (but this may be possible in ilok also).

Any issues just ask the LLM about it and it will be able to answer you (copy and paste this into it, would also help it, it will give it background on what your trying to do).

If they ever change the download location just uninstall the biggest program, open task manager then resource monitor and re-install it (AV off), and watch the disk write section for where autotune central is writing too (order by write column), you wont have long to spot it if your internet is fast, luckily mine runs like a slug with a hangover being blown backwards in a sandstorm from dune.
