Hi everyone,I wanted to share Bento Project Studio, a new desktop editor for the 1010music Bento.
The idea is to make Bento project preparation faster from a computer: create or open projects, manage tracks, assign samples and patches, edit sequences, preview/play back your work, and save Bento-compatible project files.
The app is based on the foundation of Blackbox Preset Builder (https://www.ondarium.com/bbpresetbuilder.html), which I launched in December 2025 and have been improving with feedback from the user community.
A key feature in this first release is the Zone Map for multisamples. It lets you visually build instruments or create keyboard splits using either automatic detection or manual placement:
- Drop a folder of WAV files to automatically create zones
- Manually place and adjust zones when needed
- Edit key ranges and velocity ranges directly in the Zone Map
- Use automatic spreading tools to organize zones more quickly
- Sample and pad editing with waveform preview
- Project playback and sequence preview
- Patch browsing and loading
- Sequencer with copy/paste, duplicate, undo/redo, and note transposition tools
- MIDI import
- Audio Editor with common processes such as Normalize, Silence, Fade In / Fade Out, Gain, and more, plus effects such as Bit Crush, Distortion, Tape Stop, Vocoder, and others
- Sound Generator for creating new audio material inside the editor
- MIDI, SFZ and DAWproject export workflows
- Free trial available
- Windows, macOS and Linux builds

Feedback and feature requests are very welcome.
