Greetings,

Shu is a reverb plugin designed to be versatile yet simple to use and easily accessible to everyone.
It has some cool features like reverse delay and predelay feedback (which work in parallel).
If you're familiar with Saike's Lava Reverb, you might be pleased to find its Abyss and Ethereal engines have been ported to Shu's Ether mode. I enjoy using it and I hope you all will too.
This is my first effect plugin, (also my first post) so please let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Mikey

Nice one 👍

The Linux VST3 won't run here on debian sid. It requires GLIBC_2.43 but I only have 2.42.

Thanks for the report.

I love that reverb so looking forward to trying this out. The feedback in the pre-delay too, I got some great results using that in NIs Raum to introduce subtle feedback sounds, hoping this does something similar (on Linux and avoiding the NI installation timesink... :))

I mentioned on your Discord I believe Ubuntu (maybe Debian?) based distros will be at glibc 2.39 for a while yet.

Thanks.

Don't need another reverb, but this looks really great for a freebie. Nice selection of models, HPF/LPF, some feedback looping, and an elegant UI design. Nice work!!

It doesn't run on my Linux Mint 22.3 system as well, REAPER 7.72 can't even scan it.
ldd --version command brings to this output:

ldd (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.39-0ubuntu8.7) 2.39

which seems to confirm the fact that issue could be on the glibc minimum version required.

Toneboosters plugins had similar issues when launched on Linux, but now they just need glibc version 2.31, which is quite widespread.

Any chance to have ducking controls added (with adjustable attack and release)?

I didn't add ducking because I was going for a minimalist, simple interface, and the DAW should be able to duck, but I'll consider it. I'm also looking into the glibc issue. Thanks!

Shu currently requires macOS 11.5 or later. I mayyyy be able to lower it.

Hi Mikey Audio and thanks for Shu!

There's a minor issue with Silk mode. If you reduce the Decay (from 50% to 0), the processed audio's panorama starts to shift to the left.

Win 10, VST3, Reaper 7.70

What does "Shu" mean BTW?

Regards,
Vitaly.
