i principally use live for the VSTness and i've been trying to find a way to do this for some time. i want to take a midi control for example the pitch wheel on my MIDI controller like CC#1 and make it also send the same data on CC#14-20. that way i can use the one pitch wheel to turn lots of knobs on virtual synth. i have midiOX but i just can't figure it out!

I'm trying to figure out if you want to use this function live on stage or not.
Generaly speaking, What you are tying to do is impossible. A controller can normally be assigned only one task.
There are however master keyboards available with knobs that are individually assignable for certain tasks.
I am not completely certain about what you want to do. Need more info.

I suggest a cheap investment. Check out the Evolution
MK-249 Midi controler, 49 dynamic keys ( non-weighted ) with 12 assignable knobs for controlling any possible paramater you can think of.
I use this keyboard to control " Cube " 's parameters
The virtual synthesizer has a " Learn " option for every possible parameter you can change with the mouse, you can change with one of these assignable control knobs. Really cool, especially when live.
otherwise I would suggest running your sequencer in playbaback mode with record overdub on so that you can only record controler data without messing up your " note on note off " data.
See if this helps. I have been in the industry since the Commodore 64 and Steinberg Researchs first sequencer.

i use a korg ms2000 as my midi controller into live via a 002 transport. so i have a midi controller. i'm trying to get one knob to split into multiple control channles. so when i turn a knob on the ms2000 it changes the value of Control channles 14,15,16,17. this way i can assign those to differnt virtual knobs on the virtual synth and thus change 5 virtual knobs with one real knob. i also want to apply it to guitar rig so my expression pedal will move both the wah and the pitchshifter and the feedback. wouldn't that be neato? i've worked with trying to do assigns in midiOX i just can't get it to work.

Using the term 'Control channles' is probably confusing the issue. CC (as in CC#1), means 'Continuous Controller'. Midi Channels are something different.
I guess what you want is the data sent by one continuous controller to be echoed to several other controllers simultaneously. All in real time, of course.
Although I think Midi-ox can do what you want, it's probably quite difficult to set it up to do this... it would require you to write a script. I'm not totally certain about this, as I haven't used Midi-ox for a long time.
Not sure what free software is available to do this. I think there are some free addons for Cakewalk Sonar that can do this kind of thing... but that requires you to use Sonar, obviously.

Maybe the setting morpher in TobyBears Midi Control Center is useful for this? http://www.tobybear.de/p_mcc.html
If I understand this correctly you can use the input of one Midi CC to change a whole range of other CCs.

Actually, (according to some official MIDI specifications) CC seems to stand for 'Control Change' sometimes... whatever, it's still the same thing.
TobyBears Midi Control Center looks good...
