Considering that they bought Spitfire Audio relatively recently, who are a very big fish in the world of Orchestral Sample libraries, there has been a lot of speculation as to how they would use AI in relationship to that acquisition.

"Soundcheck (Beta)
While some music tech companies have suggested that musicians don’t enjoy making music, we’ve spent the last year collaborating with artists and producers to push the boundaries of what’s possible with even more creative control.
Our approach to this work is rooted in a “sound-first” philosophy. We recognize that for many of our customers, the creative process always begins with sound—a drum beat, bassline, or melody—not with prompts or predefined parameters. This fundamental understanding has guided our development, ensuring that these new generative AI tools support genuine artistic expression and bring new life to the depth of the Splice catalog. Every sound created with these tools begins with a human-made Splice sample, and each use triggers a licensing event that credits and compensates the original creators.
Now available in Soundcheck:
/Play – Turn any Splice sound into a playable multi-sample preset inspired by the original instrument
/Transform – Flip and combine the timbre and structure of loops to create new sounds that fit your vision
/Variations – Expand a single sound into endless creative possibilities, made just for you
/Blend – Combine the sonic texture of different sounds to create something never heard before
Over the past 12 months, we’ve worked with a group of more than 50 producers and sample creators to test these tools. The feedback so far has been inspiring. KSHMR, one of Splice’s original sample pack producers, said, “Splice is creating something that only a few years ago people would have thought was flat-out impossible. Each of these tools would be groundbreaking plugins on their own.”
Now, we’re inviting more of you to explore these new tools. Soundcheck is open exclusively to Splice customers, offering access to experimental new features designed to spark inspiration, unlock new creative possibilities, and ensure artists remain in complete control of their work."
btw...the first quote sounds like they have been talking to BONES lol

I haven't been able to find any audio examples of these modules from either the "Soundcheck" or "Splice sounds" plugins...basically looks splice version of arcade...to go against all the other arcade copies...but every single sample AI variation cost a credit...could be difficult to track how much money ur spendingbermudagold wrote: Fri May 29, 2026 9:14 pmyeah that was back from the 2025 acquisition...this is the last related post from September...funny thing is I hadn't heard anyone mention soundcheckagharta wrote: Fri May 29, 2026 9:00 pmIs that a recent quote or does it date back to the acquisition?bermudagold wrote: Fri May 29, 2026 8:53 pm But...
