Hello to all you good people outthere in KVR land!
I was wondering if anyone is using sx 3 as there main sequencer without too much instability?
I,m still on 1.06 and recently paid for the upgrade to sx2 only to have the shop phone me three weeks later to say arbiter will only supply me an upgrade to sx3(same price).
I,m aware of sx 2.o35 being rather stable and i,m a little nervous of sx3.
Any opinions or scary stories?
Cheers,
Your friendly neighbourhood folkadelik funkster

the only scary story was the installation.
they say enter your 'serial number'
but ment to say "authorization number"
so i kept entering the wrong number, over and over and over.. till i googled it..
but, it has been stable, completed 3 mastering sessions, and 1 new track (plus another track started in SX2) without a hitch.

Thanks for your reply
,its quite comforting but i,m still quite concerned as i normally push my system quite hard and have just recovered from a spat of technical issues so i really can,t afford to lose more time to further possible issues.
Do any of you other sx 3 users have any experiences you would share with me?
Cheers

HI
Yes the dongle install freaked me out!
I almost threw away the piece of paper which had the code on it and was totally confused - why do you have to authorize the bloody thing!
Otherwise my only other story is of withdrawal symtoms from being an ex Logic user

No serious problems or instability issues within the software itself then?

Hi funkynuts,
If you have not already looked, you're likely to get detailed information about SX3 here:

I just bought SX3 for my G5 and I am very satisfied with it. I am getting work done. Most of the problems I find are with older 3rd party VST such as Blockfish, which was already known with SX2. (some of us would like to convince Urs to fix his Mac port...).
Steinberg have announced v3.01 is due this month; and AFAIK one can use SX2 on an SX3 license.

I've just updated today, and have had no problems so far. I've been working with a couple of songs I started with 2.2.0.35, and SX3 seems really stable. The improved and faster freeze and the realtime audio warp are really wonderful
