Does anyone happen to have the drivers for an M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 preferably for Win 7 (there are no drivers for Win 10 and beyond)

I've got one laying around and just wanted to see if I can get it running on Win 10 in compatibility mode.

So far google searches have not yielded anything but Vista drivers which wouldn't install.

Thanks for any help......

EDIT: Ok I found them. As always the best way to find an answer is to ask it on an internet forum then five minutes later you'll find it yourself and look like an idiot.

Anyway it works perfectly and has ASIO drivers. Sounds pretty good. I don't know why I didn't try it on Win 10 a long time ago as I've had the 24/96 since some time in the early 2000's.

In the one in a million chance someone else is looking for the drivers they are here:

This WIn 10 system will be converted to Kubuntu Linux in October when Micro$oft pulls support so I'm happy to read this:

"The M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 PCI card is supported out of the box on Linux. It uses the ALSA snd_ice1712 kernel driver, meaning you rarely need to install external drivers manually".

Ah. Glad you found it. I was just coming to tell you I was digging out a backup drive I think might have it. Anyway, I've used three of the 24/96 cards on Windows 7 and then 10 for ages, without any issues, with that very driver. Nice to know about Linux compatibility, as I too am seriously considering a Linux machine. Or just make sure I have all I need app wise, and continue to stay off line like I have for years with my workstations.

I changed my 20 year old 2496 to RME when new machine did not have PCI sockets anymore. RME is clearly better also in sound, but that old card has a special place in my heart ;)

I'm thinking about just removing this machine from the internet when support ends but it is my main internet computer and test machine at this point. I do have a Win 11 machine waiting in the wings to take over so we'll see what happens in October.

I suppose there is a chance that Micro$oft will extend support again but I don't have much hope. There is the LTSC route but that seems like a janky solution.

I have two Linux systems and while I love the OS I haven't had the willpower to try music production on one yet.

How much more did the RME cost? One would expect it to sound better.

I use a Focusrite 6i6 on my main studio system and that is sufficient for my needs and is reasonably priced. I still have an M-Audio AP 192 laying around and may try to repurpose it as well.
