With All These Emulations Coming Out...

Can't SOMEBODY make a freaking A6?
At least then I could die in peace. Is this synth so hard to make? I know there's a demand so that can't be it. And please don't tell me about UVI's pathetic attempt at this with samples. I want a real A6.
Why do you think nobody has come out with this yet?

It came out in the wake of the VA supersaw synths that defined dance music at the time, and so even though it's apparently revered by many it's not popularly associated with a particular sound or time period in electronic music. Everyone knows what a Moog, Juno, Oberheim or Virus sounds like, but an A6? I have no idea. It doesn't have the nostalgia factor.
It's probably not all that easy for a developer to find someone with one that still works and who's willing to lend it.

Harder than every emulation that's ever come out? Harder than every VST that's ever come out? I find that hard to believe. Falcon couldn't have neem easy. Omnisphere couldn't have been easy.

It is an extremely complex synth with custom chips that have not been documented. And a lot of the synth depends on the digital part, too (all the modulations etc.). This makes it way more difficult to emulate than your usual analog synth from the 80s.

I must admit I wasn't a fan of the hardware, but I found this interesting reading.
