Hi everyone,

I just released the first public beta of PeterPan, a stereo positioning plugin I’ve been working on.

The basic idea is simple: instead of only moving a sound left/right with level-based panning, PeterPan lets you blend in subtle micro-timing differences to create a stronger sense of front-to-back depth — without adding reverb, room simulation or spectral coloration.

There are two main views:

• Single View: place one source quickly in an XY field using Pan and Depth
• Master View: see and edit all PeterPan instances within your session together in one shared spatial map

The Master View is probably the main workflow idea: if you have PeterPan on multiple tracks, you can arrange them visually in relation to each other, group-select sources, move them together, mute/solo/hide instances, and use Global Stage Trim to adjust the overall depth or width of the visible stage.

There’s also a “Bass to Center” control, which filters low-frequency side information to help keep the low end more stable, plus a quick mono listen function.

PeterPan is currently in beta and I’d love to get feedback from real sessions — workflow, features, sound, use cases, installation issues, DAW compatibility, confusing UI moments, anything really.

You can download it here:

It runs in 14-day trial mode, no account needed. If you try it and send me useful personal feedback while the plugin is still in beta, I’ll gladly send you a free license afterwards as a thank-you.

Formats: VST3 / AU / AAX
OS: macOS / Windows

Thanks a lot,
Jonas / Fehrenberg Audio
