They are very good. There are also Prosamples CDs which are also very good.
You can pick 'n' match with soundscan and prosamples as much as you like, there is a bit of everything. The sounds are of very high quality and there is generous number of them on each CD.
In my opinion, quite a few of the sounds are better than the ones you get with VST instruments. Most of them are VSTi quality, but some are of exceptional quality and you wouldn't want to be without them.
Are there any you have used which are particularily outstanding?
I definately favour quality over quantity.
