While trying to mix a part I recorded in Logic Pro a few nights ago, I couldn't figure out a way to get the settings in the AU plugin to stick.
I was using a Sitar Scale patch, with the scale set to Bb Minor (Aeolian).
I recorded the part into Logic Pro using the exact same setting on the iPad and it seemed to work perfectly.
However when I went to freeze the track, that's where the problems arose. Activating freeze meant Logic would jump to the beginning of the song and send a program reset message to the GeoShred plugin - setting the scale to C Lydian, and then obviously my MIDI performance became garbled. Garbage.
Nothing I did seemed to be able to rescue that original performance.
I disabled "Send Used Instrument Settings" in Logic>Settings>MIDI>Reset Messages
I checked the No Reset button in the Track inspector
I thought I had searched all of the menu settings in the GeoShred plugin to see if I could disable this and now as I write this I suddenly noticed a huge Defeat Reload on Rewind switch in the MIDI menu, below the MIDI Configurations window.
Have turned this ON, and it seems to have worked. I don't know if this means that I can re-enable those other settings in Logic. Will check and get back to anyone reading this.

Couple of ancillary issues related to my experimenting with the above:
• The strings do not appear to have equal volume when the scale is changed.
• I still have occasions where the pitch bend ranges seem to have got corrupted and bends are suddenly the wrong interval - like the calibration has gone out of whack. A semi-tone "bend" suddenly becomes a 3rd. And a tone becomes a 5th. I can't for the life of me figure out what is making this happen and so unable to replicate it.
Anyone else had these issues and managed to solve them?
Thanks.
