Hi Everyone,
After 18 months of development, we're excited to announce the release of SubCulture, a new kind of bass enhancer: https://babyaud.io/subculture

SubCulture is an effect plugin for adding maximal low-end in perfect tune with your bass-line. It tracks bass pitch in real time to generate musically tuned subharmonics derived from the input audio, avoiding subsonic frequency clashes.

While other bass enhancers rely on boosting a static frequency or rudimentary pitch shifting, SubCulture is built on an entirely adaptive architecture. The whole processing chain changes with incoming pitch information, resulting in a cleaner, deeper low end.

Get the free trial: It doesn't require any sign-up and is available for download with a single click here: https://babyaud.io/downloads

Looking forward to your feedback.

This has to be the most comprehensive bass enhancement plugin I've come across.

The depth is pretty mind boggling but I love the fact that it's all optional and the defaults work really well for everything.

Amazing work.

Man I want this.

Not sure I want to pay $80 for something I'll rarely use, but I don't currently have a dedicated sub enhancer and this one seems like best in class. Really like my other Baby Audio products too (Spaced Out, Transit2).

You'll get a further 15% discount for if you own 2 baby audio plugins and 20% if you own three or more. (you might have more from giveaways etc.)

If you bought them from a third party you can sign up for an account on Baby Audio's site and register your licenses with the serial codes there and get a coupon code.

This will be a godsend if it works properly. I can't believe no one's thought of this before.

Not sure what you mean by this? If you need assistance with something, can you write support@babyaud.io ?

I don’t mean to be negative as i’m generally a fan of baby audio’s stuff and own a lot of it, but i’m struggling to understand the price on this one. $130/80 on sale seems quite steep for a few relatively basic functions you can set up in any daw in no time. I assume it’s the pitch tracker that’s supposed to be the selling point, but are people really creating music where they don’t know the notes of their own song? i’m guessing this one just might not be for me, and that’s ok… just wondering if i’m missing something here

edit: just as i submitted, the video got to the end where it’s mentioned it’s intended for mixing. i guess i get the intention, as i suspected this one isn’t for me. they’ve got plenty of my money though and im sure they’ll get more in the future

We recently built a new user portal with an automatic loyalty discount system. You can create your account or log into babyaud.io/account just use the same email used for previous purchases and things will sync. You can also manually add licenses from 3rd party sources.

I did, it could not be activated on the sub. It made me wonder why I bother to pay that. Sry. This happens a lot.

It's fixed now! Thanks for pointing this to our attention. We needed to make a quick backend tweak but all should be working now.

It's kind of the Final boss of bass enhancement plugins.

Every section has a bunch of specific tweaks.

For example, the pitch tracking section has frequency range, confidence (whether less than ideal tracking is trusted or goes back to the fallback fequency) , noise gate, a slider that determines whether the transient or the sustain part of the signal is used to determine the pitch, a Low pass filter, scale quantize, fallback (what the tracker does if it cannot accurately detect pitch), Moving average (longer values give better tracking but respond more slowly and vice versa), pitch count (the number of analysis frames that need to correlate before a new pitch is determined), freq smooth which shapes pitch transitions, octave snap (to prevent octave jumps) and VT smooth (a further smoothing of pitch transitions).

This is just for the pitch tracking!!

Each section has its own sub menus like this. You can use it very creatively like having a different fallback frequency for the sub, root and resonance and tweaking the tracking accordingly.

The saturation has all kind of cool stuff like multiple algorithms, biasing, even and odd order sliders, the ability to affect the dry signal, sub or both, a slider between soft and hard clipping and all kinds of other stuff.

I find this section particularly good to get bass to sit up on less than ideal bass response speakers.

There's tons more options and it will take a while to get to grips with everythig.

It's an incredibly deep plugin (excuse the pun).

It's almost too deep for its own good. All those kind of "hidden" parameters are fairly overwhelming.
