Bombo is a kick designer. Two voices, a sub and a body layer that can be a synth or a sample you load, into a drive, filter, delay and reverb chain you can drag into any order. The order saves with the preset, so "reverb before the filter" is a patch you keep rather than a re-patch you redo.
The other half is reverse-bass ducking. DUCK cycles Off / A / B / AB, so you can duck the sub, the body, or both. The wet bus ducks itself as well, which keeps reverb and delay tails out of the way of the next hit.
Ten factory presets, from a clean sub to splintered hardtechno. Offline bounce to WAV or AIFF, rendered against a fresh DSP instance, so you can print a kick without stopping playback.
VST3, AU, CLAP and standalone. Native Linux x86_64, Windows x64, and the macOS universal build is signed and notarised. GPL-3.0, source on GitHub.
One thing I am not going to explain: there is something in the nose of the bomb. It takes seven taps.
First gripe is already logged, from a review here: too much empty space in the UI, knobs could stand to be bigger. Fair. More of that is welcome, this is the thread for it.
