Somewhere in a forgotten subbasement, between the requisition forms and the bunk-bed manuals, a producer's vault sits sealed against the modern mix. Bombo is what came out when someone finally pried it open.

At its core it's a kick designer: two voices, a drive stage, a tempo-sync delay, a plate reverb, a state-variable filter, and a sidechain ducker, racked vertically against a stubby olive-and-red chassis. But the rack is yours: drag the FX sections into any order; the signal path rebuilds in real time. Tap a header to mute. Loop on, beat lined up, DICE button when inspiration is short on the day. A whole new round every roll.

Ten factory rounds ship in the warhead bay (Hardtech, Reverze, Juicy, Chunky, Crusher, Hammer, Hardkick, Horror, Pew, and Superwet), running from a clean sub to splintered hardtechno. Six runtime-switchable finishes: VAULT (the standard issue), BANDW (the manual blueprint), NIGHTRUN, MATRIX, CYBER, PLASMA. Bounce any round to WAV or AIFF from the BNC button without leaving the chassis.

The nose is a detonator. Tap it seven times. We don't recommend it. Then again, you're already here.

Free, and open source under the GPLv3. VST3, AU, CLAP, standalone. Windows, macOS, Linux. Single-shot or looped. Quiet enough for headphones. Loud enough for the wall.

Detonate responsibly.

Overall a fun, inspiring drum synth with plenty of options. It can even be set to key track which makes it useful for pitched drums as well as more synth-like sounds. I do think that the interface has a lot of empty space, which I believe could be populated by bigger knobs to make the interface a bit easier to read. Otherwise, I think it is good and worth a try.
