cleaning audio files

what is the best way to clean hiss cracks pops and vinyl sounds out of wav or mp3 file. i have one track that i used waves x - crackle and waves x - click and it cleaned everything but the break down of the song. i tried to just use the plugins on the break down after i used it on the hole song and still have the unwanted sounds. help please!!! LuXx

The Waves stuff is great. Also sometimes a simple notch eq will do a better job than anything. However the thing to really keep in mind is that in the wrong hands noise reduction can KILL audio. There are several sample cd's on the market that absolutely sound horrible because of poor noise reduction techniques. If you have the means though the noise reduction in Sequoia is by far the best.
