I've imported sequence tracks into Logic 7 and want to sych them with ADAT tracks recorded at the exact same tempo as those sequence files. My Logic song file contains both the ADAT and sequence tracks, but I can't get them to start at the same time. (My goal is to replace the drums with superior samples while maintaining the vocal, guitar and keyboard sounds.) What's the best way to make sure the ADAT tracks line up exactly with the MIDI files?

Thanks!

Hi there,

I'm not quite familiar to Logic but let's try:
1- First and most important -Set you Grid to "measure";
2- Align all your audio tracks to start at the same measure( i.e.:measure 4, use it as your sync point);
3- shift your midifiles to match the start up measure form the audio tracks.
It should work.

It's very simple scatch from what you'll have to do , but it can be more complicated, it will depend on how did you recorded the ADAT tracks.

-Did you start to record all audio tracks tracks at the same time?
-Did you use any syncronizer( MTP AV? or something like) to sync the Adat to the computer?
-Are the audio files on the audio tracks chuncked?
-Is the session's BPM the same from the adat tracks?
-

Try to move the whole audio track track as one single file .
The MIDI tracks are pretty simple to move, just highlight the whole track and shift it to the measure you want to.

Let me know if it works.

regards

Iuri
