wavelab...using vst effects

hi,

im trying the demos of wavelab and soundforge, and keeping my eyes on audacity,..
wavelab seems great, very good, .but i have this doubt, its related whit using effects, vst fx stuff,...
for example we select a part of a file, in a wave file or in a audio montage, how to had the vst effect just to that part , ..i think in soundforge we could use the menu process, but in wave lab i can´t find a way to do this.. is it possible?, aplly effect just to a selected part and then process to change that part of the audio file, and whitout having to close it?

You click the render button at the bottom of the effects chain and when the dialog comes up you will have a choice of whether to apply the effects to the whole file or just the selection.
