That's why I thought he probably meant analyser.
Calculating bpm is just.. Well.
bpm = 60 / Time_between_beats.
Not too tricky.

Actually, after a while, and a lot of playing and listening you just start to know the bpm.
I mean not exactly perfectly, but close enough for jazz.
But anyway, analogx tap tempo works pretty good. Also, most digital metronomes have tap tempo function. You can also use your watch.

Wizoo have their WizooCalc which does tempo detection by tapping and a whole number of other calculations as well.

1/ it kills my eyes (dark blue on a black page),spending hours to manually indicate the speed of the samples..
2/ When you are working with Cubase
what do you do with a sample indicating 119,36 or 121,45 ??
What could be REALLY useful for me now,is a converter to easyly transform a 119,36 into 119 or 120 (Audacity can do some kind of Bpm change,but i'm a total noob in this kind of aritmetic
119,36/%+/%- .....= 119 (??)
..with Ableton Live it does not matter of course with the warping

You don't need to calculate anything, just use timestretch so it fits your bars
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
