FLStudio as VST responding to MIDI but not playing.

I know I'm probably doing something stupid, but I can't figure out what. I have this problem with both FLS4 and the newer FLS5 when using them as a VST in another host.

I can wire up FLS in energyXT so that I can control each channel. For instance, if I have 4 channels with Kick, Snare, Hihat and Tom, sending notes through channels 1 to 4 plays the instrument respectively. The thing is, it won't 'play' the notes. The little MIDI light on the FLS dashboard lights up AND the light next to each individual channel, just as if you were playing the channel directly. But no sound.

If I open the samples and click on them in FLS it plays the sound fine, so it's not a sound config problem.

I'm certain I did this before once without any problem.

There's a problem with FL 5 with no sound as a vsti at present. Imageline are aware of it and will fix asap.

mind I also have a problem with vsts in FL5: when I'm playing vsts with my midi keyboard there are problems, sometimes a note doesn't sound and sometimes a note gets stuck and sounds forever till I press stop.

this doesn't happen in FL4.

Aha! Thanks, I just read the post over on the FLStudio forums.

I imagine they'll fix it pretty soon.
