This was a friends discovery to the similarity of Gwen's latest hit, and a old Aztec Camera song. He's not a Remixer or DJ - the song cuts are THAT close to one another. He just flipped on one, and another off basically.

I remember the guitarist from Faith No More (original lineup) pursuading a bunch of us to wander around a hotel in Glasgow looking for a party Roddy Frame was supposedly throwing to crash it...

.... but they couldnt find it so they all went to beddy byes....

I'm not up on this 'mashing', and my mate's convinced Gwen Stefani actually used the first verse to the Aztec Camera song and much of it's feel.
Coincidence, or plagerism???

the vocal line for the new gwen song is very similar to that of Weezer's Hash pipe. I mean, that's not like it was that original to begin with anyways. its just a descending minor scale from the 5th scale degree but maybe it will become another pop cliché. There are probably even millions of examples of songs with the descending natural minor (aeolian) chord prog [i - bVII - bVI - V] that could possibly be traced to the beginning of ......

Used to play it on a jukebox often, and can't remember a lick of how it goes now?

And Gwen's not that different from The Darkness either I guess?
