I don't think it can heal on it's own, but I do think it's possible for music to aid in healing.

The physical and the psyche are entwined, the ability to recover or rejuvinate is increased when the mind or emotional state is strong, promoting an individuals creative ability will possibly increase their mood therefore increasing physical recovery, I have used music "therapy" in my job as a mental health nurse!!

33hz heals 98% of all known illness
but only for women.
but seriously, it is already used for therapy, i know someone who had a form of autism when they were a child. the doctor suggested audio therapy, it sorted her right out
the sounds she was played were simulations of what you would hear in the womb, i'm not sure but i think there was some kind of visual stimulation aswel, like soft lights changing color over time.

Heh sorry it was a lame joke. But that is pretty interesting. I definately think music can be a therapy. I'd say for me personally it is kind of a way to let out all of my emotions in a nicely passionate atmosphere, kind of like a creative spirit putting all of his baggage out through music. I find it very exhausting but very rewarding as well. Almost like "having a baby" but not literally. I know this probably sounds really pretentious but thats me.
