Every dance music genre has it's record label owners, producers, DJs, promoters and punters.

I'd assume that some genres are popular with punters and/or DJs but lacking in labels and producers, or vice versa. For example, IDM seems to be far more popular with producers than record sales and popularity with punters would successfully represent it. Dnb seems to have a surplus of labels and be popular with producers, moreso than most genres, whereas happy hardcore seems to have a paucity of producers, perhaps not in line with the number of punters it caters for.

So - where else are these disparities? And why do you think they exist?

hoy, would you mind coming up with a graph? i'm looking for a niche market right now :P preferably a genre which wouldn't require having a woofer.

sorry Rony :( I only download tracks that are more in line with what I do and I only comment if I can add some value. Your music is far more 'traditional' than mine and I suspect you've been using chords or some other trickery which makes me suspicious/out of my depth.. :)

Yep! Don’t work for me :-o :) – That pad up there was as close as I got, its too short and not floaty – but is atmospheric :D so I got that bit, plus its all Albino - I will try again but with a sample hash and tempo stretch plus reverb, and anything else I can think of - but it will still fall short no doubt - but fun to do all the same :)
