It's great to see a born-again Christian in action from a part of the world where they have been seriously persecuted in the recent past [Paul will know this but the rest of you - the best-known-in-the-West Romanian preacher, the late Richard Wurmbrand, spent 14 years in jail for his faith - which was untypical because he survived, not because of the length of sentence]. Though the request that your synthesizer
should not be used for any purpose contrary to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ may be a bit optimistic in our slob-factor culture.
I'm also glad it seems to be an excellent program. I switched it on and pressed the on-screen keyboard and suddenly the sound coming out of the soundcard was vastly better than before - real high quality stuff. For some reason Zyn's not yet listening to my OSS /dev/sequencer, but I expect it will fairly shortly. Then I can start fooling with all the settings..

Regarding ZynAddSubFX, usually is compiled under alsa and you need alsa-patch-bay to connect the keyboard to the synth.

Hi Paul,

actually I got it working with the OSS, and also hacked it so I can play a keyboard attached to one machine (old, slow but with working MIDI interface), send the MIDI commands down the net and play it on Zyn on my other machine (fast but no MIDI interface). So I'm a happy baby; if this is likely to be useful to anyone else I'll happily submit a patch if you tell me where.
