z3ta not showing up as a VST in Magix Midi Studio 7

I bought z3ta last May and from playing it in standalone mode I know it's my favorite synth. However, I can't get Magix Midi Studio 7 to recognize it as a VST; it's not listed with the other VST's.

It should be fairly straightforward: install the software into the folder which is designated as the one where Magix is finding all the other VST's. I have tried putting everything into a subfolder of the VST folder. Note that the z3ta effects do show up in Midi Studio's plug-in effect.

I must be missing something pretty basic here. Has anyone else run into this?
