I've always been envious of his solo style!

It's supposed to be more ergonomic as the fret positioning is more or less following the angle of your arm - so your wrist stays more calm. Which should be quite an advance on a monstrous instrument like that bass/guitar thingy.yul wrote:Hey what about the weird frets on this guitar ?
Never seen it before. Does it allow to reach more positions ?
I forgot how this is called, so I don't have links for it either, but there's even luthiers doing replacement necks for all sorts of guitars.

The oblique frets also accomodate for guitar and bass strings on one neck, as the scale-length for a guitar and a bass are different. It allows for reasonably stable tuning at similar string tensions.

I have been following Charlie Hunter for a while.
He is definately a great player.
The slanted frets make a lot of sense (you can read about it at the manufacturer's web site)
But considering the price I will have to pass for now.
