hi everyone....

I have 48 khz - 24 bit recordings which I made with ProTools HD-TDM on Mackie d8b desk.

When I'm mixing in Cubase SX 2, is it possible to get any advantages if I choose project sample rate as 32 bit float?

My other question is during importing Broadcast Wave files to cubase, how could I get correct file positions as same in PT?

Happy Christmas!

Theoretically: yes.
Noticable: mainly in file sizes.

The "project" bit depth only applies to any audio recorded in Cubase. Cubase plays back files of any bit depth. It also won't affect processing - VST processing is always 32 bit float.

Forever,

Kim.
