Not really? It's like naming race horses, you just try to think of the most unique name that hasn't been used. Bands/artists will only take note if you come into more success with the same name, and if you and they are successful in different territories - you'll probably be asked to put a 'country signifier' by your name. IE; Charlatans U.K. - as apparently ther was some band in the States with the same name that played weddings or something? So in England, they were simply known as The Charlatans - but their records and touring in America had to be 'Charlatans U.K.' to avoid legal infringements.
Pick a name like "Blonde In A Motel", "Secretariat", or "Hoof And Mouth Disease" - and you should be fine.

Hhhhhhm, 'Savior Needed (Canada)' just doesn't have the ring to it? I know - Savior Needed 2, it works in Hollywood atleast.
