(to do it with just one though you'll have to email sales@esoundz.com to have them do it manually, otherwise the other products I mention give you the option upon check out automatically to add $99 to your order... in SS2 this is called "Add sample import" which means "add ST2 full engine".

3. Last chance to get the underwater basket weaving tutorial. (just kidding)

Some good news about the full engine of ST2 for SS2 owners: If you also want the sounds you can get the full cross-grade to ST2 for only $219. that's the engine WITH the sounds. (MSRP $249) This is available from www.esoundz.com but also any IK dealer that carries upgrades and crossgrades (some do, some don't... all should though).

It has not been confirmed to my knowledge that the SS1 ST2 upgrade/crossgrade does not expire in 3 days.

Yeah, it looks like we'll have it go for a little bit. Maybe longer. I'm working on it. We'll see. I just don't want anyone to miss it and then be upset that I didn't give them a warning. So, try to get the upgrade from SS1 to SS2 as soon as you are able to afford (assuming you want to of course).

As for SS2 cross-grade to ST2- this will be around for a while. As for ST2 cross-grade to SS2 this will be around at least until March 1st I believe.

But seriously, I will be doing it any day now, I'm just glad I don't have to panic about Dec 31st for ST2-SS2 and have to worry about squandering my money on food instead of SR sounds.

Believe it or not - my next sound purchase will probably not be from Sonic Reality. If there are any left I will probably get the Kirk blah blah strings library probably for Giga. God I hope it imports well into VSampler

Then I might look at the IK ST2 sounds upgrade (also non-SR).

Squids - you'll just have to come up with something new for me to think about in the next couple of months so that I can get on the SR train again.

I really should concentrate on getting that new computer set up so that I can actually use my SR purchases I guess.

Yes! I will buy asap, I just hope it's around say the max., end of Jan.

I already have almost everything made by you all Dave, and yes I want and will buy SS2 asap.

Yes, I think I've used up my VSTi points with the wife for now, but it is my birthday at end Jan, so jopefully that should swing it...I may be able to mask it by buying her a new laptop (hers has died and I don't trust the manufacturer to fix it...)

I think my brain is melting, so forgive my stupidity.

A. Are you saying ST2 can be had for 99 bones if I just got sonikcapsule studio drums? It can't have all the cool sounds and such too right? (maybe that is what you mean by the additional 219 bones)

B. After using the UFO, having it land, and hearing the first really useable drum sounds I've heard.........It feels like I started back on the horse, I mean I am ADDICTED! I want it all, and SS2 actually looks like the real deal. But I'm a super newbie to IK/Sonicreality so I don't know for sure about the difference (st2 vs ss2) price........blah blah yada.

Anyways, hope this question makes some sense.......

Ok, you did it to me again,, made it irresitable! I've been wanting the XL engine, and the chance to get the sounds for an extra $119 has me hooked. I don't see it listed on the esounds site for $219. How to I order it??

How to I order it??

Yes, you guys can order the extra sounds for the difference in price between it and the engine upgrade. Today is the last day for the engine upgrade anyway. But, the engine/sounds CROSSGRADE for $219 will be around for a little while (crossgrading from Sonik Synth 2 that is).

Just to clarify, here's what I am talking about. If you own ST2L or XL you can crossgrade to Sonik Synth 2. For a limited time that will be $199 but it will go up to $249. at some point in the not too distant future (more news on the final date coming).

If you own Sonik Synth 2 then you can crossgrade to the full SampleTank 2 XL (yes, including all of the sounds) for just $219. on www.esoundz.com (if it isn't up on the site yet, this is new so it will be up there soon... maybe today or on Monday because of the holiday). If you bought the engine part and now decided you want the sounds too then just pay the difference and email sales@esoundz.com explaining what you want to do. Simple really. But, they'll have to do it manually for you that's all.
