You can also use any other program to transmit arp notes to Reason using one of the loopback device thingies.
And then you can feed those arped notes to the Matrix...........................

An arpeggiator for Reason is something I've been wanting as well.
I've been thinking of trying EnergyXT out as an arpeggiator. I often us Reason Rewired to Tracktion, so I could put EnergyXT in front of it to play arpeggiated patterns. Has anyone else tried this combination?

I've use Tracktion, eXT, and Reason before, with eXT mainly for chords and arps. It's an amazing combination, and really, I have almost no need for the Combinator in 3.0 when using all three together.

I used to use my Nova to send midi to Reason both knobs movment and arp patterns, but I alwaysed had to use the master midi in to it work.

What about them? I tried out LiveSet once, and it can't do anything that eXT and Tracktion can't, and it costs a bunch more than either (or even both). The only nice thing about it is that controllers are named according to the selected Reason device.
Besides, nearly every single post by the developer on the Phead official forum is spam. I don't have a problem with a developer advertising his product occasionally on a relevant forum, but someone who only posts when he has a chance to link his product pisses me off a bit.

Can someone please explain this? I'd love to try it.kodama wrote:You can also use any other program to transmit arp notes to Reason using one of the loopback device thingies.

So far I am using a Edirol PCR-80 MIDI Controller with Reason. I do own a Novation Supernova and Access Virus both of which has a nice arp. But they are modules only, no keys.

Why use a loopback device? Why not send the arpeggiated notes via Rewire2?kodama wrote:You can also use any other program to transmit arp notes to Reason using one of the loopback device thingies.

Or you could use TechnoToys' Arp8X if it is still around.
