Hey everybody, have been playing around with cubase and i have a few complete drumkit samples, different snares etc..
Now i was wondering if i can import these samples kick&tom etc and basically make drum tracks in cubase or through my midi keyboard?i don't really wan't to play a beat via keyboard as it doesn't sound real..unless i could chop it up in the editor..how does everybody write drumtracks via kit samples???
I have the patience to write really good rock-drum beats and fills but was wondering if there is a better way to do it..wanna make it as realistic as possible...CHEERS :)

p.s.-i've used redrum in reason before, was ok but no longer have it. :(

How to make acoustic drum parts?

Well, here's how I do it:

Click repeatedly and strategetically. If you do this well, you'll have a pretty nice drum track. If you're one of those insane people who can play a relatively sane drum-part by hand, then that's cool too, but you can't necessarily do it (I sure can't).
