What I need seems so simple.

I need a vst or dv plugin that can sense the velocity (or the weight I am placing on my fingers when i hit the individual keys) and change the cutoff frequency automatically....

Native Instruments Intakt does this for samples Looped in their program, and when you use the option, the harder you hit it, the filter changes to a higher frequency, when you hit it lower, it gets duller (in layman's terms)

I want a program for SX that will do this for any softsynth im using, and the filter changes with each time i hit a new key at a different velocity...

can anyone help me out here? ive looked for two days, and tried a couple and they dont work right.. (just want a simple filter change sorta like the mod wheels do on some vstis, or the very correct thing, velocity sensitive filtering on some vsti's) I dont want the sound changed any more than that, no bouncing around crazy effects...

Thanx guys...i love this forum very informative....

FL Studio's Keyboard Controller does exactly this. Layer one up with whatever synth you're playing, then link its velocity output to the synth's filter. You can also define the mapping formula to create curves other than linear. I guess you could run FL as a VST to acheive this in SX.

ok i just remembered...i have tried philterkeys...when i turn it on in sx2 i hear nothing when i play my vsti's...and no matter what value i change on the front of the unit, it mutes the sound and doesnt trigger...so i guess i dont know how to use that thing...wish i did

reading the site again on philterkeyz, it says usesful for creating blurbs and sample and hold riffs

i dont want blurb really, or any sort of filter changing when i hold down a key for time....

what i need is hold it say at 20% velocity and the filter is a constant never changing cutoff freq, then restrike the same key lets say at 80% and the cutoff freq is totally diff...

but in about an hour ill try these things out....thanx for your help guys

ok i just tried filterizer in sx, but it doesnt seem to respond to velocity when i hit the notes, im just putting the filterizer in the sx indstrument channel settings, am i missing a step sending midi to it or something?
