Got myself a nice s/h bass guitar
traded it for a toolbox I wasn't using anyway
. Really glad with it, though I can't play for shit (as my neighbours can testify)
.Still, it's a lot of fun to try and it looks good too (the bass) specially since I customised it with a pair of orang racing stripes
. Now all I want is a nice Hartke bass amp with the aluminium cones

Here's MY baby

And an anecdote: -
Playing this babe in my 80's tribby band, some well dodgy venue in Stoke.
Geezer collars me after first set. "Hey mate, I'll give you 800 notes now for the bass".
No.
"Come on man, I wannit".
No.
"Look, that's what Lemmy uses innit? I want it for my wall".
No. Lemmy's is different.
"Whatever man, here's the deal, I'm off to do some business now, £800's worth of business. When I get back, I can either give you the cash for the bass, OR, give you a kicking and take it. What's it to be?"
I'll see you later then.
We finished the set in double quick time, and threw the gear in the van, speeding away, I saw the knobhead arriving mob handed, and as he piled in the pub with his henchmen, we decided that Stoke was right off the map for future gigs.

I would so love to have a nice ricky bass... for now this is what I make do with..

It was cheap, and actually sounds pretty good.

This is my new baby , wot I got for xmas.
It's a pretty cheap little Ibanez, but I tried out about 20 (c)£200 basses (in guitarguitar on Argyll St. - great shop) and this one stood out as being by far the most playable. Cost £150
I can still hardly put the thang down.
Nice Ricky, though

Right on, found the thread at last...
I bought this Aria Pro II SLB-2 quite some years ago of a bass player that had a small collection. Met him after some years again at a party, and made a deal. I thought it was quite a crappy instrument, but coudn't resist for the price.
Now finally I put on new strings, costed half of what the whole bass costed me. Well worth it, I have a NEW BASS !! Sounding crisp & clear again, I actually think it still were factory default strings I removed

So, whaddayasay? Hurts the eyes also, huh?

For bass, I somehow manage to get by with these three trinkets...

What.. no 5-string!?!?
How's the chapman stick? did it come with the stand or did you make it yourself?
@Jaap/MDA: yeah, its ok now. It doesn't sound as disturbing as it looks... Fine for me as a guitar player.
