Play SS2Free sounds in ST2

I have SS2, ST2, and SS2Free. It seems that the sounds in SS2Free don't exist in SS2 (though I only did a cursory check).

Is it possible to play these SS2Free sounds in ST2? Or, more specifically, the .ikmp files that are in the "Sonik Synth 2 Free Presets" directory?

I figure it'd be easy enough to copy the SS2Free's "SS2Instruments" directory as a subdirecory to the ST2's SampleTank Instruments directory, but then I fear the ikmp files won't find their proper files.

Any thoughts?

Yes, it is possible to do that.

You can freely reorganise the instruments in SS2 or ST2. Even rename them and put them in different folders. SampleTank2 and Sonik Synth 2 use an internal database system to find the sounds, so the combi presets and any open projects that use SS2 or ST2 will continues to work fine. Just remember to hit "relist" after you make changes to the directory tree, so the plugin can rebuild the database and knows where to find the files.
