Slovak - at the top of this page will be a text box that says "Quick Search". Type in Muzys and hit the search button.
Millions of pages of posts will come up.
OK - maybe not a million.

I used Muzys extensively as soon as it became a VST host. It was a host of great beauty and ease of use and you don't have to travel far in K-v-R to know that I thought very highly of it.
I have temporarily discontinued its use after the project was closed down in favour of EnergyXT.
As to its return - anyone's guess is as good as mine I'm afraid.
I never pushed Jo to confide in me on what will happen and he was not in a position (legally) to confide in me anyway.
We will either go "OOOOOOH!" and start using whatever this new incarnation of Muzys is or we will say "OK" and move on to something else.
Still - Jo is pretty damn OK in my book either way. Would definitely catch up with him if I happened to be travelling in his part of the world.

Jo's reason for not letting the product be sold elsewhere was his commitment to supporting it. No one else selling it would have the same level of technical knowledge (or access to the source), so support quality would drop, thus lowering the esteem in which the product was held.

what did actually happen to muzys all suddenly? I fell in love with it just when the development stopped.
do you know any other hosts that can save all the used audiofiles into the song (or a directory)? (pref. even the sampler samples)

Muzys can't be sold because there is some sort of shift in development, business arrangement.
Don't have a clue what it is - but part of the deal - I'm sure would be to stop selling Muzys in its current format.
Purely speculation here, but I wouldn't be surprised if Muzys was sold to a company and Jo has been taken on as the leading expert and they are furiously designing and developing a new product based on Muzys and its best features and it will be released either in a blaze of glory or the pool of contempt.
Some sort of deal will be offered to existing Muzys customers to crossgrade to this product and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't called Muzys anymore (although it may well be).
I'm hoping it will keep features like the MuZynth engine with its seamless integration into the sequencing host and items like the advanced midi editing and live features (keyboard mapper, playroom etc.).
I'm guessing it will undergo a drastic and fundamental GUI overhaul and include a more standard mixer.
I don't think disk streaming audio will be implemented, nor do I think VST midi or MFX will be implemented.
I wouldn't be surprised if the direction of this was virtual studio, live work and to move away from comprehensive sequencer.
However, if they remove the advanced midi editing - the item that puts this as a sequencer above anything else out there unless you want to go expensive (Cubase, Sonar etc.) then that will be the end of this host for me.
The fusion between virtual studio and cubase-esque features was this programs strength as far as I was concerned. If it doesn't maintain the balance that I'll lose my interest pretty quickly.
Anyway - this is purely uninformed speculation on my part. Just the kind of things that have been rattling around in my brain. I hope some of this is right and some of it is wrong.
