Yeah, Audition doesn't load VST effects particularly well, so someone recommended to me that I use Chainer to access my plugins.
But now, as soon as I load Chainer in Audition my cpu goes straight to 100% and when I try to preview the effect chain, no sound comes out - and it's still running at 100%.
What's going on? Is this how it normally performs?
Cheers

Just to compare notes I use another VST wrapper - Directixer 2.5 - whenever Audion wrapper gives me trouble. I see what you mean, when I insert Chainer that was wrapper by Audition VST Wrapper the cpu initially goes to 100% but then (this is different) the cpu goes back down to about 4% but the Audition cursor changes to an hourglass is going crazy, cursor-hourglass-cursor-hourglass, etc.
This doesn't happen with Directixer 2.5 although with that VST wrapper I usually have to cange the propert - 'alternative sizing method' to get the skin to show up full size...
