never mind. I downloaded the driver and tried to play a wave file through the mini host. It locked up the file and made it unplayable. Had to delete it. I think my card is too stone age for me to be here.

Maybe your old soundcard doesn't support ASIO. Try downloading and installing the Aio4All Driver. It works with almost every soundcard. You can find it here:

Minihost comes with openasio in the zip. That may work for you.

thanks for the input. the openasio file does not work. I bit the bullet and downloaded adobe . The manual gave me the asio4all link also. Got it loaded ok but, still can't get a sound out of minihost.loaded a wave into the wave player and my computer was processing something but nothing I could see or hear. Do i need to load a plugin first before anything will work.No sound from the keyboard either. I have no experience at all with this stuff so I have no idea how to troubleshoot this.
