Yamaha to Buy German Audio Software Maker

Tokyo, Dec. 21 (Jiji Press)--Japanese musical instruments maker Yamaha Corp. said Tuesday it has agreed to buy Steinberg Media Technology GmbH of Germany for 28.5 million dollars.
Steinberg is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pinnacle Systems Inc. of the United States, which provides digital video solutions services.
The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, is expected to be completed by the end of January 2005.END
