We are very pleased to release the next update to our PC VST analog-style equalizer with dynamic equalization performance and real-time sonic spectrum analysis.

We would like to inform you that this version 2.4 offers you a new and a very different quality mode--the "Alt Quality". This mode brings a whole new sonic quality dimension to GlissEQ. If you want to achieve a really astounding bass range boosts and cuts give this mode a chance!

This version update also features a narrow-band sweeping function. This function allows you to listen to a selectable narrow spectral band in order to hear what is going on there.

For your information, in GlissEQ, the spectrum of the track can be exported to any other instance of GlissEQ thus making interchannel spectrum overlaying possible. This can help you to free frequency ranges in one track to allow the instrument in another track occupying these frequencies breathe.

Voxengo GlissEQ features:

* Convenient user interface
* Five filter bands
* Eight filter types
* Real-time spectrum analyzer
* Full/bar spectrum graph modes
* Interchannel spectrum overlays
* Bandpass filter sweeping
* Extra efficient Dyn 0 mode
* High quality mode
* The "Alt" quality mode
* Three dynamic modes
* "A-to-B" comparisons
* Factory presets
* Mono-to-Stereo, Stereo-to-Stereo processing
* Any sample rate is supported
* Internal 64-bit processing
* Native assembler DSP code

Voxengo GlissEQ VST is available for a discounted price of USD 59.95 ($20 off the regular price) which will be effective for two weeks. For more information and downloads please visit the Voxengo web site: http://www.voxengo.com

I would like to add that it's not just the bass that changes. This new mode adds a somewhat new feel to the EQ sound. The difference is very subtle, and the words will go to winetasting but I'll give it a shot.

There is certainly more mid dimensionality to the sound, mid transients are preserved differently. The old high quality mode is more immediate effect on all frequency ranges. You might find that you need to boost or cut a bit more with the new mode.

On all bass the new mode shines. You'll find that the initial attack will become more pronounced and "more pleasing to the ear".

The new mode can also sound a bit "foggy" on the same settings compared to the old high quality, but at the same time giving better imaging. Phase response is obviously very different to the old one.

A valuable addon to the already best native EQ.

Oh and by the way, all that winetasting was done with non dynamic dyn0 setting ie. the straight forward EQ mode.

I know it's too much to hope for but - any chance on a temporary reduction in the GlissEQ/Cruchessor combo?

Aleksey, do you have plans to implement this sweeping function in CurveEQ, too ?
It works really great in GlissEQ.

What's the difference between this and Curve EQ? Which one is the best?

Why would you need two eq's though? - eq's always confuse me :?

Each equalizer has its own characteristic !
CurveEQ has SpectrumMatch/GearMatch, GlissEQ has spectrum overlay and its unique dynamic function.
I use GlissEQ in tracks, CurveEQ (and sometimes Kjaerhus Golden Equalizer) for Mastering.
As I said, best to try it to test which one fits your needs.

BC, Crunchessor&GlissEQ bundle's cost is already reasonable. Even taking into account current GlissEQ's discount you get Crunchessor for about $38 when in bundle.

PeterL, sweeping function in current CurveEQ is not planned for implementation. But this is a planned feature for the next major update.
