no, here I predict we'll see a dozen 'xxx workstation' plugins, and about everything will be called workstation because it sounds cool.

In music software terms, I hope 2005 will be the year users reject nasty C/R and overly bedongled software (and other intrusive copy protection), reject idiotic user interfaces with poor usability, and demand better integration of plugin<->host<->plugin both from developers and from the VST specification.

I reckon we're up for another year of aliasing and convolution. Perhaps physical modeling will make a comeback. I started a thread last year asking the same thing about 2004 incidentally.
