I have a finished mix of my song. I have a focusrite twintrak that i like to pump my tune through for finishing touches the warmth is just so nice, however this works fine when i am just listening to it , and not returning it back to the computer. When i do hook it up to return to the computer i get a high frequency warble and the song doesn't sound anything like it did before. just very distorted and quite simply bad almost decimated. Could this be due to the fact that i am using the stereo line outs of my sound card(HDSP 9632) connected via XLR through 6.5 input on the twintrak(instrument jack) on the instrument setting and then back to the PC via the rear face +4dbu outputs. I am using Nuendo2 and am quite new at it(2 weeks).
the focusrite also has a mic input on the front and the the option for a line level signal, iam using both channels of the focusrite.
