I own STank-1 le, Sonic Synth and a couple other disks.
What are my options for low cost upgrade to STank-2.
Does STank-2 play the STank-1 files?
Having trouble getting any sound out of STank-2 Free and n-Track. Not familiar with the STank-2 interface. Any tutorials available?

I assume you have Sonic Synth 1, and not SS2. If so, the Sampletank 2 XL Upgrade 2 is your best deal, currently going for $279 at eSoundz.
If you have SS2, you can crossgrade to ST2XL for $219.
I'll have to let someone else jump in on your other questions.

One option you might want to consider is the Sonik Synth 2 Upgrade. SS2 is seriously awesome, and you might find that it replaces a lot of your older SampleTank1-era instruments.
Otherwise, there's the SampleTank 2 XL Upgrade 2, as Frunobulax sugggested.

ST2 FREE will only play its own instruments though.
It's similar to ST1. Instead of the channel selection buttons in a row at the bottom, the parts are shown in the large frame on the left. To load a sound, simply select the part you want to load into, browse for an instrument in the right hand pane, and double-click the name of the instrument to load it.Kenny_b wrote:Having trouble getting any sound out of STank-2 Free and n-Track.
