Anyone know where I can get some high quality samples of people reading passages or maybe of radio plays etc. I'm hoping for a sample from say Jackyle and Hyde or Frankenstein or something like that? Or maybe samples of Vincent price or Tom Baker .. saying something scary about monsters?..

errr. any ideas?

I've always been a fan of that kind of stuff. Also stuff from old horror movies and such. White/Rob Zombie uses alot of those type of samples.

Is it legal using stuff like that?

Have you checked archive.org for anything like that? there is a pretty extensive collection of Public Domain movies there.

I'll have to check through it again. I know that night of the living dead is there. You would just need a program to strip the audio track from the movie file and then slice it up.

I did it with an hilarious short about the evil dangers of pornography on there...

good luck

Well, Tom Baker had recorded his own autobiography, which is an excellent read and probably has lots of nice usable things. But it's only on tape, not CD, and I haven't found any MP3s of it yet.

I presume it's copyright, too, so unless you got them cleared...
